From garnering critical acclaim online, to winning the “Artist of the Year Award” at the 3D Print Show in London, Pussykrew’s three-part sculptural series, “Materia”, “Metaballs” and “Mimicry” deeply blurs the lines between virtual and material, artificial and natural, generating the sensation of the unreal and leaving intense impact on the viewer.
Exploring digitally inspired physicality, the forms draw inspiration from classical sculpture while interpreted through the futuristic frame. The bodily forms are deconstructed – or “computer affected” – digitally processed organic structures are changed into abstract shapes, manifesting the spirit of the post-digital and post-human.
